LADIES PLAY BOWLS. ON GREY LYNN GREEN. An all-day bowling tournament for ladie* was played on the Grey Lynn green on Thursday, when the ladies of the Grey Lynn Croquet Club played four rounds of tenheads. Five rinks were In play and each skip was coached by a man. The teams of Mesdames "T. Baildon. P. Rose, W. Curtis and A. Lye tied with three wins and a loss each. *. In the play-off Mrs. Rose beat Mrs. Curtis, and Mrs. Baildon beat Mrs. Lye, but as there were two sets of trophies, a final was not played, the winners thus being the teams skipped by Mesdames Rose and Baildon. TARANAKI BEAT TE AWAMUTU. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TB AWAMUTU, Friday. Ideal weather conditions prevailed this afternoon, when four rinks of the Taranaki touring team played a match against Te Awamutu on the local green. The green played perfectly and was greatly appreciated by the visitors. Taranaki won three of the four games, the aggregate' being: Taranaki 85, Te Awamutu 67.
