FEWER DEATHS IN VICTORIA.
AND FEWER BIRTHS. (Received-1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Vital statistics for 1925 show that the death rate in Victoria for the year is the lowest on record, being 9.47 per 1000 people against 10.05 per thousand people in the previous year. The birth rate was also lower than in 1924, being 21.49 per thousand against 22.01.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
