DEATH OF TOSELLI.
MUSICIAN WHO WEDDED A PRINCES. The Italian composer, Maestro Enrl Toselll died in hospital In Florence at th \ age of 42. The above announcement recalls one othe most pitiful dramas of modern times. The wilful young Princess Louise, born W IS7O, was married*in IS9I to Frederick Crown Prince of Saxony. The rigours and ramrod discipline of that stiff-necked Teutonic Court soon goaded the impetuous, quick-minded girl to desperation. In 190 A In real fear that her father-in-law would cause her to be locked up ln a mad-house, ehe ran away with a young Belgian tutor, Glron. The romance was short-lived. In 1903, deserted by Glrpn, she was divorced by the Grown Prince, and her daughter Monica was horn. In 1906 she met Signor Toselll, a handsome, romantic professor of music, at Florence. Toselll himself has left an account ; of the meeting. "I can still see Louise of Saxony as ehe appeared to mc that evening strolling languidly along the road. She was full of seductive charm and grace. A faint smile touched her tender lips and lighted np her glorious eyes." They fell in love immediately. He went back to her viUa and played the piano to her. Next day they met ln a' church, and took vows to marry. The lady-in-waiting warned the young Italian to beware of royalty but he was beyond reasoning. In the following year they were married-. By' 1011 quarrels and misunderstandings had become of such a nature that proceedings for separation were begun by the Princess. Cruelty was alleged. Toselll. who still loved his wife and was devoted to their child, made spasmodic effortß towards reconciliation, but between such natures no reconciliation could be long-lived.
The Princess still lives in Brussels In circumstances of extreme poverty. _She is known as .the Countess of Ysette.
