BITUMEN OR CONCRETE ?
MOUNT EDEN'S QUERY. A VISIT OF INQUIRY. i (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Councillors McK. Morrison, A. Joll, J. Smith and D. 0. Eraser, of the Mount Eden Borough Council, with Mr. J. Rogers (engineer to the council), who are on an official visit to Wellington, have been favourably impressed with the bitumen roada. Mount Eden Borough has in view an extensive reading programme, and they are investigating the respective merits of concrete and bitumen roads before they decide on which type they will use. Messrs. Paterson and Luke, engineers to the Wellington City Council, have afforded the visitors every facility during their stay here.
