ROYAL N.Z. YACHT SQUADRON. HARBOUR RACES. THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S CUP. The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, will hold "three races to-morrow afternoon over the usual harbour courses. The prize for the first-class yachts is a handsome silver cup donated by J« s Excellency the Governor-General, air Cnas. Fergusson, K.C.B. Mr. J. L. R. Bloomfield has donated a prize for the second class yachts, also for the club's IS-foot restricted class The latter will be sailed in conjunction • -with the Ponsonby regatta. His JSxcellency- will sail on Mr. Glfford's Rawene during the race and members of his staff will also sail on the Waitangi and Prize. Both classes will start at 2.30 p.m. The staTting line will be between the signal tower on the end of the King's wharf and mark boat moored north, in the event, of a westerly wind the course for both classes will be round Bastion, rhence* round Saltworks beacon, thence round Ked Luinmons buoy, thence round Rona buoy off IHrkenhead to starting line. The entries for the Governor-General s cup are : Rawene, Waltangi, Prize, lorangi, Moana, Heartsease, Victory. The race for second class yachts will also start at 3 p.m. under the same conditions. The entries are: Lartye Wllma, Waione, Little Jim, Mahakl and Scout. The officers for the day will be Messrs. J. H. Frater, B. W. Beaumont and Geo. Decry. TAKAPUNA BOATING CLUB. RACE FOR ONE-DESIGN CLASS. The Takapuna Boating Club will hold a race to-morrow afternoon for their 3 2ft 6in one design class over the usual course, starting off the club ht>u»e at <3 o'cjock. The rounding marks are now all red circular buoys. The entries and handicaps are: Kitty scr, Myrth lm, Olive lm, Winsome lm, Frolic lm. Comet lm, Edna 2m, Tio , 2m, Lai Lai 4m. The officers for the day are: Judge and starter, Mr. H. G. Carr; timekeeper, Mr. A. Ramband. PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB. TWELFTH ANNUAL REGATTA. ENTRIES AND HANDICAPS. The twelfth annual regatta of the Ponsonby Cruising Club will be held to-morrow afternoon. The flue schooner yacht Kaimiloa will act as flagship and races will start and fni>=h off her moorings near the western wall. A frequent launch service will be run to the flagship from the Ponsonby Club's jetty, St. Mary's Bay, and from the hire launch steps. Quay Street. The entries are a record find total 127. The starting will be on the three disc system, the discs being displayed from the stern of the Kaimiloa, the starting line being between the discs and mark moored south. The officers for the day are: Starter, Mr. C. Butler: judge, Mr. G. J. Kelly: timekeepers, Messrs W. D. Boss and A. Craig: recorder. Mr. H. B. Arthur.
