STRIKE OF ENGINEERS.
PRINTING WORKS MEN.
'WAGES AND NON-TTIfIONISTS
LONDON", March 11
A mas 3 meeting of the employees of the Hoe printing press works in London, who are on strike, rejected the recommendation of the executive of kindred engineering unions that they should return to work.
The men resolved that they would not resume work until non-unionists have been removed from the works and a substantial increase in wages has been assured to them.
The executive of the seven unions concerned held a meeting to consider the taking of disciplinary action. As a result of that meeting, at which Sir Allan Smith, chairman of the Employers' Federation was present, the employers agreed to defer the operation of their lockout notices until March 18.—Reuter.
