BRITISH ESTIMATES. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 11. The Civil Service estimates show that a sum of £300,641,000 will be provided, compared -with £312,954,000 last year. The sum includes £50,730,000 for education, £29,840,000 for old age pensions, and £63,504,000 for war pensions.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) SOME LARGE ECONOMIES. (Beceived 1 p.m.) LONUON, March 11. It is estimated that between £8,000,000 and £10,000,000 will be saved during the coming year by the Miscellaneous Economy Bill, introduced in the House of Commons by Mr. Winston Churchill.— (Eeuter.)
