The Union Company announce that their new steamer Tamahine leaves Wellington at 3 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for Picton., returning from Picton at 2-30 p.m. en; Tuesday* and Thursdays 7 p.m. on Fridays and 6 p.m. on Sundays. Daring the past few weeks the vessel has been rnnning week-end excursions from Wellington to Picton and the Sounds. She will leave Wellington for Picton to-morrow on her last Sounds excursion for the present season. During Easter the Tamahine will be rnnning a special timetable from both Wellington and Picton, and particnlars of her sailings can be obtained from the local ofSce of the company. On her recent voyage the vessel cleared Liverpool on January 30. and for the first few days of her voyage encountered, very stormy conditions. Heavy seas continually on board, flooding the decks.
