' POOLING OF FUNDS. AUCKLAND WILL OPPOSE. When the executive of the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Association .met yesterday attention was drawn to the forthcoming conference of patriotic societies to be held at Dunedin. It was mentioned by Mr. Hortbn that there was to be, he understood, a proposal to pool all the funds of the associations, and he expressed the hope that such a proposal would be vigorously opposed by the Auckland delegates.
