Boisterous winds made conditions unpleasant for the Maaawatu Trotting Clnfc's annual meeting at Ashhurst to-day, but_ the threatened gale held off. Good racing was enjoyed, although the times were slow. Favourites and back-markers alike did not show up. and several of the dividends were handsome.
