NEW HOME FOR NURSES.

BUILDING AT WAIKATO HOSPITAL

MODERN STRUCTURE ERECTED.

OPENING BY JHEALTH MINISTER.

HAMILTON, this day. The latest addition to Hamilton's notable buildings is an up-to-date structure erected as a home for nurses at the Waikato Hospital. Built at a coat of £19,892 the home is an imposing building finished in red brick with white facings. Accommodation for 50 nurses and eisters is provided and although the home consists of two storeys at present, provision has been made for the addition of an extra floor whenever the needs of the hospital demand it. The building is fireproof, constructed on the most modern lines, and there is a lmrary, reception room, recreation room and lecture hall.

At the official opening this afternoon there was a good attendance of the visiting public and members of local bodies. The ceremony was performed by the Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, who was welcomed by Mr. J. P. Bailey, chairman of the Waikato Hospital Board. After the Minister had declared the home open, it was inspected by the public, who were afeo shown around the hospital.
