A TAKAPUNA CONTROVERSY: BRIDGING THE WAIRAU CREEK.
The bridling of the Wairau Creek at the end of Milford Beach, thus giving vehicular access to the progressive settlements round the coast—Castor Bay and six others northwards—U a ******** "__, twictMbeen Takapuna. The two controlling authorities, the Takapuna Borough Council and the Waitemata County Council, have alternate schemes, and Government assistance, m the form ot a Commission, sought to determine which shall be adopted. The latest Commission concluded its inquiry yesterday, and failed to bring about a settlement.
