TWO LAWLESS YOUTHS.
THEFT OF MOTOR PARTS. RINGLEADER SENT TO BORSTAL. (By Telegraph.-Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Two youths, James Bernard Lawless, and Xorman Alexander Xieol, who yesterday pleaded guilty—Lawlese to the ther: of a large number of motor parts and accessories, and Nicol to stealing a magneto and motor oola in conjunction with Lawless—came up for sentence before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M.. to-day.
His Worship said he had, since yesterday, had the. opportunity of perusing the Probation Officer's report on the two boys, and also a report from the father of Lawless, who said he was quite unable to control his son. Lawless, said his Worship, was the ringleader of the party, and would be sentenced to two years' in the Borstal Institute, at Invercargill. Xicol would be granted probation for three years.
