PRESENTATION.
Before leaving Matamata. Mr. A. F. McMurtrie, formerly of Christchiiroh. and recently headmaster of the Matamata Junior High School, and who has been appointed inspector with headquarters in Auckland, was entertained in the Town Hall by the scholars, and was presented with an oak-framed photograph of the school, and another of the school football team. Mr. McMurtrie also received the congratulations of the Matamata branch of the New Zealand Farmers 7 Union and the Junior High School committee upon his promotion. Regret was expressed at the policy , of the Auckland Education Board in transferrin? headmasters so often from the Matamata school.
