ACCIDENT AT FRANKTON.
GIRL STRUCK BY AN ENGINE. (By Telegraph. —Own Correspondent.l HAMILTON, this Jay. Mis~ Marie Blackburn, aged IS. was walking across the railway station at Frankton about 8.30 last evening, in company with Mr. L. Gregan, when she ftepped in front of an engine that was being run into the engine shed. She was knocked down, and sustained a severe scalp wound, and 'bruises on the body. Mr. Gregan was not injured On Miss Blackburn being examined a: thu Waikato Hospital, it was found that her injuries were not of a serious nature.
