POSTAL OFFICER FAREWELLED
. ' I A farewell social was tendered to Mr. : W. Tynan, a member of the Parcels Post, Office staff, on Saturday evening, when; there was a large gathering in the j Parnell Football Club's rooms. Mr. j Tynan, who is to leave for Australia at; an early date, was the recipient of many ■ good wishes for his future success. < Vocal items were given by Messrs. j Austin, Stanley Pritchard, R. Herd, W.; O'Donnell, Aubrey Halliday and the ■ •niest of the evening. Messrs. T. Stanton [ and R. Parnell gave recitations. Mr. R.: Tviian was at the piano. Supper was provided, and the evening terminated happily with several speeches, in the course of which Mr. Tynan's many good ■ qualities were referred to, and his health was drunk enthusiastically.
