MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Minister of Education and Post-master-General, Sir James Parr, arrived by express yesterday morning. This morning he received a number of deputations and also conferred with members of the Grammar School Board and the Auckland Education Board in regard to educational matters. "The Minister is to leave by the second express this evening, en route to Hastings, where he will open a new technical school. On Friday next Sir James, accompanied by Lady Parr, will visit Flock House, Rangitikei district. In the afternoon Sir James is to open the new Girls' High School Hostel at Palmerston North, and in the evening will attend a social given in his honour by the Palmerston North High School Board of Governors and the Parents' Association in appreciation of what has been done by him for the district during the Minister's term of office.
