Skerrett), addressing tin. grand jury, congratulated the district on iln freedom from crime, especially intentional crime. Ueferring to the Opapa train fatality, his Honor said tht-s. tbe law was quite plain on the point. The pit—lit: waa entitled to expect that care, prudence, and precaution that a skilled enginedriver might be expected ordinarily to have. An enginedriver wns expected to act up to a certain ntanelard; if ho fell below that standard and person*, were killed as a rcmilt, tin- driver was guilty of manslaughter.
