ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. S_QTJ£_ TO DOMESTIC TROUBLE REMANDED IX CUSTODY. Frederick George Mave 3 (22, appeared beiore Mr. J. \\. Puynton, 5.M., at _ Police Court this morning, charged witix attempting to murder hU wife. Aaagg Mayes. -^^c^iea Sergeant Calwell applied for a until Monday next. Mr. Allan Moody, who appeared fo r Mayes, said that he did not think it proper to a = k f,;.r bail at this stage. It is alleged that Mayes, who" resides with his wife at Kil'owen Avenue, 0 g Cook street, followed h«=r out or _ to the street last evening. After an ailment, it is stated that he got a tiea rift. and fired a shot. However, his wife was in no way injured. Neighbourwent tor the police and accused was arrested.
