- BRITISHEBS MISS THEM. "WON'T 'WORK IN FBANCE. LONDON, February 10. Efforts to induce British unemployed to accept work in French factories have failed, says a message from Paris. The Commercial Counsellor .of the - British Embassy (Mr. J. R. Cahill)' believes that barely a dozen of those who went to France in. 1923 remain there. The chief stumbling block is that English workers are unable to forego their big English breakfasts.
