A knotty point for Rugby organisers is contained in the disposal of the cup presented by Mr. D. L. Taylor, of "Vancouver, for competition among primary schools in New Zealand, owing to the unweildiness of such competition. The Xew Zealand Rugby Union is submitting the following letter on the subject to all unions:—"The union has allocated this cup for competition amongst the primary schools on the following lines:—Cup to be open to primary schools of grade five or over. To be open for competition amongst all primary schools playing in school competitions, either directly under the control of unions affiliated to the New Zealand Rugby Football Union or controlled by school unions or boards under arrangements with Rugby linions. Each win in the school competition to count two points, and each draw one point, the school securing the most points in the 192(! season to hold the cup for twelve months, when it will be handed to the 10-27 winners to be held for twelve months, and so on. Affiliated unions to forward to the secretary, N.Z.R.F.U. a list of the points scored by teams in their districts, certified as correct by the chairman, the secretary and a member of the manapement committee, each year, not later than October 10. The N.Z.R.F.U. management committee to decide the bolder for each year and determine any disputes that may arise concerning the competition. Note: Another cup will he given! by the X.Z.R.F.U. for competition on similar lines for schools 'lelow grade five. Will you please place the proposals before your union and the school Rugby authorities in your territory?"
