Friday. i Three Canterbury visitors, who are j here for the races, suffered a total i loss of about £20 on Wednesday nisht. las the result of someone entering their ! rooms at their hotel and goinjr through j their clothes while they Elept. The i thief, however, was evidently in a hurry. for rolls of notes in some pnekcts were I untouched. A fourth membrr of the i party escaped without los?, by takin™ the j precaution of putting his money in his pyjama coat pocket and pinning it in.
