i ALLEGED DEFECTIVE LAMPS, j SYDNEY, February 12. ! In giving evidence at the inquest concerning the Redhead colliery disaster, a district check inspector said that when he went to the lamp room to obtain a lamp four days after the explosion there was not one fit to take down the mine. After a considerable time he secured one which he considered was a disgrace to the company. i Witness said he found gas in the mine,' which had not been reported by the' deputy.— (A. and N.Z.
