NEW ISSUE OF STAMPS.
PREPARATION IN PROGRESS. ISSUE IN MONTH OR TAYO. The work of preparing new issues of postage stamps for ilie Dominion is now in progress. The Postmaster-General, Sir James Parr, made a statement today that the preparation was well ill hand, and he expected that an issue of the stamps would be made in a month or two. The issue would affect three denomina* tions —the nennv. and the two shilling and three shilling stamps. An attractive desien. sliowinfj the King in military uniform, would he portrayed on the penny stamp; and the 2/ and 3/ de> nominations would show His Majesty in naval uniform.
