LEASE OF A HORSE.
ACTION FOR DAMAGES.
(By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WANGANUI, this day. Great interest is being taken in racing circles in a case which is being heard in the Supreme Court, in which Alex. Mitchell, horse trainer, is proceeding against Duncan Lourie, owner of the racing mare Demure, claiming £2350 damages. The total is made up as follows: £100 damages for trespass, £2000 special damages, and £2-50 also for special damages for alleged breach oi contract, Demure having been leased or a percentage basis, and later taken on of Mitchell's hands. The case is proceeding. *
