EXPERIMENTS AT HOME. BRADFORD MAY BENEFIT. LONDON, January 31. Colonel YVilley, of Bradford, whose firm has been experimenting with synthetic fibre, called artificial wool, says it has been doing so mainly with the idea of ascertaining if more work could be provided for textile operatives. The fact that the new material could be manipulated on existing machinery was uf immense importance to Bradford. The firm has made several fabrics entirely from the new fibre. Colonel. Wi I ley's view i> that the fibre cannot be! regarded as a rival to natural wool, but that it must not be regarded lightly. pr-pecially if it is going to set some of the standing machinery in Bradford moving again.— iA. and X.Z.
