THE SUMMER MEETING. CONCLUDING DAY. The Takapuna Jockey Club's Summer Meeting was concluded on Saturday, at Devonport. in fin? weather. There was a. pood attendance when racing opened, and the crowd increased a> the afternoon wore on. The track was in good order. A Good Youngster. Value was the only scratching for the Hobson Handicap. True Blood was the favourite, being about £.'>f>o better supported ian Tea 8011, while Flying Juliet was next fancied. Atapai and Tea IV.! were in front after half a furlong had Loon covered but l'haola then rushed up to Atapai. and tun pair led across the top from Tea Bell. Roman Abbey. True t.looil and Flying Juliet. Phao'.a and Atapai were first to mm for home, but Marehaway joined them immediately, while Tea Bell and True Blood were next. Tea 801 l then came through and won iiy a neck from Flying Juliet, which boat True Blood by a short head. Mireh- . away was fourth, with Phaola. Kik-ena, I Atapai and Roman Abbey next. An Outsider Wins. I Ail started in the Kangitoto Hack I Handicap. Curraghmore was backed 1 as a certainty, carrying over a third ( of the machine, while Brushwood Boy i was entrusted with about £.300 less. ! Knighthood was next best fancied. Miss Melva. who had finished well on the previous day was favourite for the Waiwera Hurdles, while Kawa and Black I Cruiser were most soupht after of the other:. King Abbey was soon in front with Archibald and Kawa next, and they ran past the stands in that order. Miss Melva being well back. Along the back Black Cruiser and Archibald joined King Abbey and the trio raced together for about three furlongs. King Abbey and Black miser then drew out witn Archibald and Miss Melva next. Black Cruiser was the first to straighten up for home from King Abbey, which fell at the last hurdle. Miss Melva came fast in the straight, but failed to reach Black Cruiser by four lengths. Archibald was a length further back third with Explorer fourth. The Concluding Event. Ring the Bell was made a good favourite for the Anniversary Welter Handicap with which the investing concluded, carrying over £750 more than Archeen, while Joy Ride was next in request. The favourite was always in a handy position. Prince Abbey. Joy Ride and Gold Fern, raced abreast I across the top with Ring the Bell and ■ Archeen next. Joy Ride had drawn lout as they turned for home from ! Prince Abbey, Ring the Bell. Uralla. Archeen. Ring the Bell came through in I the straight to win nicely by half a ' length from Joy Ride, which beat I'ralla by a similar distance. Archeen, Miss Vera, Mt.
