LORD ALLENBY.
RECEPTIONS IN WELLINGTON , . (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. There was a large gathering at the New Zealand Club when Lord Allenby was entertained. Mr. W. Kellow presided. Lord Allenby said he was surprised to find the progress New Zealand had made for sueli a young country. He pointed out that there was a tendency to gravitate to the towns and said the tendency should be reversed. He emphasised the necessity for continual loyalty and unity. Later, Lord and Lady Allenby had a most enthusiastic reception by the Returned Soldiers' Association.
