Subdivisions.—Plans for subdivisions of property belonging to .Messrs. \V. McAnulty, K. Aimer .and W. K. Lippiatt ivore received. The council ngrocxl to the. plans excepting that of Ltppiatt's, which was held over, pending interviewing donors o£ land to the Sturgee I'ark, which juljuiirns the proposed new road. Tenders. —The Works Committee Tpcommended the aeceptnnee. of .Mr. W. 11. Pnusett's tender of £1000 for the two council houses for the road furcmaii and Ihe pumping engineer. Building Permits.—A report from tho building inspector showed thar from tin; 14th to they 2Sth inst., tlm building permits issued amounted to £'_Mo.s, nlunililiiK and dniiiiiviro £228. The value of. Iniilclinss at present in course of erection totals £21,410. Footpaths.—Councillor I'aitio uracil the finishing of footpaths in Ureiil SoutU ■Road, ami the engineer waa requested to expedite the work.
