It is learned that an unfavourable Canadian reply makes an Imperial Conference in October unlikely, despite the Imperial Government's anxiety to hold one as soon as possible with the view ot finalising the Dominions' attitude to the Locarno Pact. The reasons contained in Canada's communication are not disclosed. Slig.it postponement may be necessary to ensure Canada's participation, but the Imperial Government is still hopeful that the conference will be held before the end of 1926. — C'Sun.")
