ARRESTS OF COMMUNISTS. THE HAND OF MOSCOW. (Received p.m.i CAIRO, January 19. Of the IS Communists arrested in June, following un the police observation of tkir activities, threeWeiss, Polak, and Autuniii —have been sentenced to three years' imprisonment, and four others to imprisonment varying from a year to six months. The balance, including a woman named Rosenthal, were acquitted. Tlil- i-a-e \va~ heard in camera. It is alleged that Weiss' real name is Kossoy, ami that he received instructions from Muacow. He lias been active in Palestine and Egypt. A letter from Moscow I intercepted' complained of the little headway he was making among the fellaheen (peasantry).— (A. and N.Z.)
