GULF SERVICES ALTERED. Owing to the withdrawal of the steamer Omana, alterations in a number of the Gulf services are announced by the Northern Co. Trips will now be made to AVarkworth and Waiwera on Tuesdays and Fridays, and to Silverdale and way ports on Mondays and Thursdays. A steamer will sail for Big Omaha and Leigh on Mondays, for Kawau, Matakana and Mullet Point on Wednesdays, and for Mangawai, Kawau and Leigh on Fridays. Owing to. Friday. A projected departure from Auckland this afternoon was the steamer Kurnulpi. which was purchased in Australia for the I N. 3. coastal trade. The Kurnalpi is I making- her first trip since her arrival in i New Zealand waters. She will call at I Opus. Whangaroa. Kaipara and other ports, and is expected to return to Auckland about Thursday of next week. MISHAP TO GAEL. Whilst leav'lng the wharf at Waiwera at mid-day yesterday, the Northern Co.'s steamer Gael experienced rudder trouble anil was forced to put back. The company's steamer Hauiti was dispatched for Waiwera to tow the Gael into port. Both vessels arrived at an early hour this morning. The Gael was placed on the patent slip this afternoon and is ro resume on Friday. I ARAWA ARRIVES TO-MORROW. UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. Movements of vessels under the flag of the Union Company are announced as follow :— The Poolta soiled last evening for Tauranga, Portland, and New Plymouth. The Waipahii is expected to arrive at Auckland to-morrow morning, when she will berth at the Prince's wharf. After discharge here she is to proceed to Napier. Wellington, and Dunedin. The Kaitangata arrived at Auckland from Westport early this afternoon, and went to a berth at the Western wharf. The Moeraki is announced to leave Wellington at 4 p.m. en Monday for Melbourne, via.
