Auckland. —It was arranged to play a match between a combined team chosen from the WaiPoverty Ray. and Waiapu and an Auckland rep aeontative eleven on Good Friday and Faster Saturday at Eden Park. It was considered that such a match would enable the selectors to see the best of the country players, and the hope was expressed that such a fixture would be an annual one. Declined.— to arrangements having- been made to play two games at Easter in Auckland, and having to send a team to Wellington, the committee regretted being unable to send a team to play a match at Poverty Bay, but the latter association was invited to make application for a game next season. Bad Language.—When a complaint of bad language, being used in a junior match, was under consideration, the opinion was expressed that such language was becoming too prevalent among junior players, and the junior commitee was asked to do all possible to put a stop to it.
