— ■ ■ ■ ■ - ■ '■-" FINES FOR BREACHES. A number of owners of vehicles appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M.. at the suit of the chief traffic inspector. Mr. Hogan'. this morning at the Magistrate's Court, charged, with breaches o: the city traffic regulations. Jack Elliott was fined 10/ and costs for driving an unlicensed omnibus. J. E. Pinker, for turning to the right in Queen Street was convicted and discharged, and Alfred C. Goodare was fined 10/ and costs for driving on the wrong side of the road. Herbert T. Burton was convicted and ordered to pay costs for causing an obstruction with his car. No fine was inflicted as the defendant's car cost £4 7/6 to repair. Vivian Parkinson was fined 40. and costs for passing a stationary, tramcar. Unattended Cars. Fines of 10/ and costs were inflicted on the ' following for leaving cars unattended:—John H. Hayes. Thomas Steele. R. B. Hammond, N. E. Hopkins. D. E. Gray. Alfred Floraaes. No Heavy Traffic License. For failing to obtain a heavy traffic license Samuel Christie was fined £5. on two charges. Edward Eye £5 and costs, and Bobert Short 20, and costs for a like offence. Cutting Corners. The offence of cutting corners resulted in W. H. R. Culpan being fined 20/ ami costs,, and L. C. Vincent 40/ and costs. Dangerous Driving. No less than fifteen charges of dangerous driving were preferred. Fine* of 20.' and costs were imposed in the fol-io-wins case*.- —William Wolf. J. J.
