FLAY WITH DRY OFFICERS. NEW YORK, January 9. Prohibition gave an added zest to tlxs city's New Year's Eve celebration—a. game of hide and seek, in ■α-hicn, enforcement officers were enthusiastic participants. Judging hy the number of noisy parties returning from cabarets in the early morning, those celebrating won by sheer weight of numbers. Broadway was a blaze of lights, and the music of silvery laughter and clinking crystal could be heard everywhere. But a severe blow was struck by the dry agents. They closed ten of New York's brightest night clubs.
