TASMANIAN CROPS.
POTATOES NOT GOOD. (Received 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Reports from Tasmania show that cold snaps and droughts liave adversely affected the potato crops. After an excellent start, the plants became wilted, particularly in districts where the crops are usually earliest. There is still hope for a late crop providing an early rainfall occurs. Oata and pea crops also suffered severely. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.) .
