Noxious Weeds.—One well-known ratepayer waited upon the board in respect to a notice received by him ordering the clearing of his noxious weeds and the cutting back of his hedge, which work he was Quite agreeable to carry out, but required same assurance that he was not the only one that was being marked out. The chairman informed him that all ratepayers were being treated alike and failIn? his neighbours doinsr their share, the work would be done by the board at their
expense. Cyclinir on Footpaths.—The clerk was instructed to write the police to find out what had been done by them In respect to the two cases reported to them bj- the board some time aeo. Traffic Licenses. —The board expressed their view that the distribution of fees collected from traffic licenses should be on a valuation basis. Prior's Landing.—Tfy? opinion having been expressed that steps should now be taken locally for the securins to the public of this property, the initial BteDs wptp left to one of the members to put in hand.
