The list of unemployed at the office of • the Labour Department to-day contained l the names of 183 men, of whom 154 were | classed as fit for heavy and 29 for light 1 work. Labourers, as usual, headed the I list with 09 applicants, motor drivers | being second with 12, while gardenors j and handy men 11, and cooks and hotel I workers 11, were others to reach double j figures. J Since Monday the Department found j employment for IS labourers, 7 farm hands, 2 wirernen, a canvasser, gardener, I glazier, quarryman, and storenian a total j of 32.
