IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.

WHEN WILL IT BE HELD? IT MAY BE IN OCTOBER. ELECTIONS IN DOMINIONS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, January 14. It is understood that there has been no further development in arranging for the next Imperial Conference. Some Dominion Governments have replied to the Imperial Government's inquiry as to what time will suit their representatives to come to London, but further communications must pass before any decision is reached as regards the suggestion that the conference might be held in June. The fact that elections are pending in several Dominions, and the Parliament? 'of Others will be reassembling about thnt time, makes it likelier that the conference will be held about October, perhaps even later.— (Reuter.) CHOOSING A DATE. (Received 10.30 n.m.) LONDON, January 14. It is now learned that the majority of the Dominions replied suggesting dates for the Imperial Conference. Cabinet's task now is to choose a date inflicting the least inconvenience on overseas Premiers. There is little doubt that a meeting can be arranged in the autumn, when it is expected that all the Dominions can be represented by their Prime Ministers pr other Ministers. — ("Sun.")
