CRICKET.

RESUMPTION OF COMPETITION TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW. After four weeks' spell, occasioned by the Christmas holidays and the playing of the Punket Shield match, the Auckland Cricket Association's championship competitions will be continued tomorrow. The senior and second grade games commenced on December 19 will be continued, and the contest between North Shore and Eden, at Devonport, will arouse interest, as these teams are in the lead for the championship. At present North Shore has eight points and Eden six, but, should Eden win tomorrow, the positions will be reversed. Shore made 229 and Eden have lost one wicket for 46, requiring 184 to win. With a good batting side, Eden look like getting a two-pointer, but whichever way the decision goes, the finish is certain to be interesting. At Eden Park, University meet Grafton, and Ponsonby will continue the match against Parnell. TRAMWATS. A Team (v. H.M.s. Veronica at Victoria Park).—A. Gate. T. Bell. J. McElligott, L Larsen. H.
