FIRE DAMAGE.
OUTBREAKS IN THE CITY. BRIGADE BUSY. Four calls in just over twelve hours jrovided the City Fire Brigade with a msy time, but fortunately the calls did lot have any serious results, and the lamage done by fire each time was only ilipt. The brigade turned out yesterday to Messrs. Smith and. Smith, oil and colour nerehants, Albert Street, where slight lamage was done to the cellar owing ;o the flame from a blow-lamp starting i fire. The next call was at 4.36 pjn. :o Grey Street, where a chimney wag dight. At 6.14 p.m. the brigade turned >ut to the premises of Cousins and Cousins, coachbuilders, Stanley Street. )wing to the heat from the furnace the •.eiling had caught fire, but was quickly ixtinguished, and a few pounds wiil sover the damage. This morning at i.16 a call saw the brigade visit Jellicoe Chambers, Queen Street. An electric •adiator had not been turned off in the >ffice of Messrs. Milne and Meek, solicitors, on the top floor, and the heat had ;et fire to some of the contents. The jutbreak was quickly extinguished, >efore any documents were damaged.
