SI McKay at the meeting of the TJflrangarei Hospital Board, that - a rebate 'of 10 per cent be allowed on inpatients' fees if the account waspaid within two months of the date of discharge;- did not meet with support, * BAinly on the ground that the coricesttdfc was toe great, representing as it did nearly a shilling a day. An alteration was then made in the proposal bo te to read that the amount be reduced by five per cent if paid in full within a Bonth and this met with a certain degree of favour, hut, on being put to the Vdte, it was loet pn the casting vote of the chairman. So fees will have to be met ••before. .
