A DRAW WITH MAITLAND. MAORIIANDEHS MAKE 681. CORNSTALKS ALL OUT 300. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, January 12. , The cricket match, New Zealand v. \ Maitland district, was concluded to-day. The visitors raised their first innings total from 610 runs for seven wickets to 681 before the side was dismissed. Maitland in their first innings made : 300. The match was drawn. On the resumption of play Crawford (not out, 70) and James (not out, 87) continued New Zealand's first innings. Crawford gave a fine display and topped the century. James, who hatted well, was unlucky to miss his century. Maitland commenced their formidable task immediately after lunch, but disrfster came early. Blunt secured two wickets at small cost. Cummins, Bell and Moore made a fine , stand, but with these batsmen out of the way the "tail" fell rapidly. Cummins was" easily Maitland's best bat. Blunt had a day out with the ball, and was very difficult to play. Details of the scores are:
