AGED 149 YEARS. GETS A NEW BILLET. CONSTANTINOPLE, January 12. * Zaro'. Agha, lost Wβ position in the Imperial Palaces and secured another as a beadle at the Stamboul Council. He states that he feels better able to carry «ut the less strenuous duties. He does not now eat meat or bread, and neither smokes nor ■ drinks alcohol. He ( has one meal a day, milk, plenty of sugar, and small cakes. He is scill living, h&ppiiy with his wife, aged 27. — (A. and N.Z. <kble.) The human phenomenon- mentioned hl-jva ie Teputed to be 140 years of age, nii.l n> the absence of any claim from more mature persons, supposes himself to be the oldest person on earth. The position he has just relinquished was as a soldier, in the Imperial Guard. He has been married 11 times. ■ ,
