ERUPTION OF VESUVIUS.
PROFESSORS DOWN CRATER. (Received 11 a.m.) ROME, January 11. The eruption of Vesuvius is undiminished. Professor Malandra, the principal of Vesuvius Observatory, accompanied by a Cambridge professor, descended the crater to study the phenomena.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
