The New Zealand Riigbj Union has' allotted the cup for, competition oil the following lines:— (lj The "cup competition to be_ open to primary "schools of grade 5 or over; and (2) to be open for cbmpetitiori amongst all primary schools playing iii school competitions, either directly under the control of affiliated to the New Zealand Rugby Football Union or controlled by schools' unions or boards under arrangement with Rugby Unions; (3) each win in the school competition to count two points, and each draw c.ne point, the school securing the most points in the 1026 season to hold the cup for twelve months, when it will be handed over to the 1927 winners, to be held for twelve months, and so on; (4) affiliated unions io forward to the secretary of the N.Z.R.F.U. a list o£ the points scored by teams in their districts, certified as correct by the chairman, the secretary, and a member of the management committee, each year, not later than the 10th October;* .(5) the N.Z.R.F.U. management' committee to decide the holder for each year, arid t6 determine any disputes! 'that may arise concerning the competition. ■'" The N.Z. Union has also decided to give another clip for competition oh similar lines for schools below grade 5. A letter setting out the conditions for the cup competition was placed before the Wellington Rugby Union's Management Committee on Tuesday. Members were inclined to the belief that the suggested method of finding the champion, primary school team would not be satisfactory. It was agreed that all the schools could not be expected to travel to meet one another. " The letter was passed on to the Wellington Primary. Schools' Rugby Union. ;
