DOCTORS' TEAM AT STANLEY BAY. A bowling match which caused a good deal of Interest was played on the Stanley green yesterday, between a doctors' team from the Auckland Club, comprising Drs. Neil MacDougall, Tracy Inglis, Hardie Neil nnd Peter Moir. against Howitt, Bartlett, Hall and Don Jones of the local club. The doctors were in good form and led from the commencement of the game, eventually winning by 23 to 13. Although on the fourteenth head It looked as though the game would end more closely than proved to be the case, towards th entf of the game the drawing of Tracy Inglis was irresistible, "and Hard ie Neil and Peter Moir were up to their best form as third and skip. Neil MacDougall, whose lirst season ns a bowler it is, proved himself a player of much promisp, and played consistent bowls. The Stanley team played a good aggressive game. A WIN FOR CARLTON. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Carlton bowlers had another pleasant day. to-day, visiting the Eastbourne Bowline Club in the morning, going on to Lower Hutt for dinner and playing the Hnit Club in the afternoon. Unfortunately only about 1C heads could be played out of 21 on the Eastbourne Green, and the visitors were leading on the aggregate of beads played. The party received a hearty-welcome from the president. Mr. O. A. Marquis, the secretary, Mr. W. G. Duff, and a number of ihrmbers. the Carltou players bring greatly delighted with the beauty of the surroundings. On arriving nt the Ilutt they were received by the president of the Tlutt Club, M>. D. F. McArthur, and- a good muster of members. A few words of welcome were also added by Mr. M. Hodgins and acknowledged by* Mr. J. M. Thomson, president of' the Carlton Club.
