A FARMER'S CASE.
Mr. F." K/Hunt, S.M., was occupied at the Magistrate's Court with a claim entered by 'Charles Avery Aehwin, farmer, of Mangere "KMr. Brown. Durie) against A. , Edwards, Kingsland, to recover £14 1/flO, of which £9 12/10 was for milk alleged to have been supplied, and £4 9/. grazing fees for three cattle. Defendant counter claimed for £26 5/, or the return of a pedigree bull calf, also for £5 damages for detention of the same. Plaintiff said defendant could get the calf- any time it was " cent for. Mrs. Edwards said she had ceased; to take milk from . the .' plaintiff, and in some cases the milk had been returned. Defendant admitted owing £12 16/11, which would be paid when the calf was returned. " One item of 20 gallons of milk was disputed. Plaintiff, to facilitate a settlement, abandoned his claim for payment for the 20 gallons of milk. Mr. Hunt gave judgment for plaintiff for £12 ie/11, and adjourned the counter claim for one month to allow defendant to'get possession' oftlie bull-calf.
