The Richardson Line steamer Parent sailed yesterday afternoon with cargo for East Coast bays and Napier. The Pacific Cable 'Board's steamer Iris. which has been undergoing cleaning and painting, was undocked to-day and was taken to her usual moorings off Devonport. H.M.s. Veronica shifted to the Sheerlegs wharf to-day, H.M.s. Dunedln having sailed for the Gulf to carry out gunnery exercises, THIS TEKOA. To complete her cargo for London, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tekoa is expected to leave Auckland for Wellington at daybreak on Friday. She is loading- the local portion of her cargo at the Queen's wharf. lONIC'S SAILING DATE. L. D. Nathan and Company advise that the White Star liner lonic will take her final departure from Wellington for Southampton and London at daybreak on Saturday. December 19. Passengers are required to be on board the previous evening. THE MIDDLESEX. For further discharge 6f her cargo from West of England ports, the Federal Line steamer Middlesex is expected to take her departure from Auckland at mid-day to-morrow. , Her other discharging ports are Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. CANADIAN CHALLENGER SAILED. A departure from Auckland last evening was the Canadian Government ■steamer Canadian Challenger for New York, with a cargo loaded at New Zealand ports. ' Advice has been received in Sydney that the Belgian training ship, the four-masted barque L'Avenlr, is now on her way to Melbourne. She Bailed from Antwerp on October 10 last. CAEGO FROM AUSTRALIA. For final loading, the Union Company's intercolonial trader Kartlgi Is expected to leave Adelaide towards the end of this week for Melbourne. CUTCOMBE COMIX<3; Telegraphic advice received by Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane reports the departure from New Plymouth yesterday afternoon of the chartered stfcamer ' Cutcombe for Auckland. This vessel is expected to arrive on Frldav morning when she will probably berth at the King's wharf. She has a part cargo of Nauru phosphate for discbarge at this port." STEAMER VERDIC REMODELLED. From Liverpool, via- ports, the White Star liner Verdic was expected to arrive at Albany to-day. The Verdic is making her first trip ta the Commonwealth. A twinscrew vessel of 0302 tons gross, the Verdic has been overhauled and refitted at Harlnnd and Wolff's works at Belfast, which took about five mqnths to carry out. The accommodation has been overhauled, and, in effect, renewed, and a complete installation of refrigerating machinery has been provided for the .transport. of frozen meat, and also of fruit and dairy produce!.
