MOTOR IN RIVER.
COLLISION WITH POLE. ONE PASSENGER DROWNED. THREE OTHERS IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIROA (H. 8.), Monday. A motor fatality occurred late this afternoon on the Waikaremoana Road, when a motor car containing Mr. Donaldson, assistant engineer at-the Tuai powerhouse, Mrs. Donaldson and infant, and Mrs. Gibbs, mother of Mrs. Donaldson, struck a telegraph pole and capsized into the river below. Mrs. Gibbs was drowned. The other occupants escaped With severe shock and bTuises. They were removed to the Wairoa Hospital.
